Viola No. 21 handmade by master violin maker Samuel D. Freeman 1974, Carlisle, PA. Not much is known about Mr Freeman other than he worked for Chimneys Violin Shop in Boiling Springs, PA as a master builder. The craftsmanship is wonderful with attractive soft and dark varnish. The instrument is well balanced with a great low end, also very even up and down the neck.
