Violin made by John Edward Harris in 1913. This violin has great tone and projection. The low end is clear and complex, the mid and high frequencies are brilliant and warm.
John was born 1860 Wednesbury and died 1951 in Gateshead UK. John was a pupil of George Chanot in London. He eventually established his own shop in Shildon, Bishop Auckland from 1894, then moving to Gateshead in 1908. Assisted by two sons, Ernest and John Edward jr. Stradivari and Guarneri models, finely worked, using good materials.
