Jan Szlachtowski "Ole Bull" Model Violin

Jan Szlachtowski was born in 1951 in Nowy Targ, Poland, where he lives and works today. In 1970 he finished the Technical College of Violin Making in Nowy Targ where he worked under the direction of the senior Polish Master, Józef Bartoszek. He refined his violin making skills at the William Harris Lee workshop in Chicago. This Ole Bull model is balanced across all strings and up the neck. it has a solid low end and a brilliant high end. Jan used flame maple for the two-piece back, sides and neck and tight grain spruce for the top.
